Prior Notification permission for a ‘larger householder extension’ has been secured for two 8.0m deep single storey extensions to the client’s property. The project required careful exploration with the Local Planning Authority inasmuch as it raised questions relating to the interpretation of ‘Permitted Development Right’ standards given the unique shape of the host property. The properties set within a Historic Park and the Green Belt coupled with the Authority raising questions regarding the setting of a listed building potentially being impacted required the application to be very carefully steered through the planning system.
