Green Belt Replacement Dwellings
Progress Planning were appointed by the landowner who uniquely owned both properties, which were originally built by his father. Progress appointed to provide planning and architectural services for the independent redevelopment of Gables & Fieldgate located in the Green Belt village of Jordans.
Through a carefully devised planning strategy, we secured consent to replace both existing modest single-storey bungalows with grand two-storey detached residence exceeding 6,000 sq.ft.
Our work involved a detailed site appraisal, the development of a design approach that balanced significant scale with sensitivity to the local context, and the preparation of a robust case demonstrating compliance with Green Belt planning policy. By coordinating closely with the local authority and addressing key considerations such as access, massing, and visual impact, we were able to achieve a result that optimised the site’s value and created two lovely, high-quality homes.
